Heatstroke Guide

Take Immediately Action:
-CALL AND GET TO YOUR VETERINARIAN OR EMERGENCY CLINIC
-Apply cool water to the inner thighs, stomach and foot pads
-Use cool-not cold water, cold water can cause the blood vessels to constrict, which slows the cooling process
-Don't cover the pet
-Offer small amounts of cool water to drink
-Don't submerge your pet in water, this could cool the pet too rapidly, leading to further complications

Make sure your pet has adequate shade, cool water and ventilation to avoid any heat-related problems.

See Abby enjoying her "pool" also known as a water bowl?  :)
